ABOUT US

Busy Pins and Needles was born over 12 years ago online with our boss Michelle, creating handmade items such as cross-stitch cushions and bespoke custom sensory cubes online. This is hour our journey began.

With daughter Kirsty then joining the mix, a couple of years later. Kirsty is a fully qualified sewer who graduated from the Royal School of Needlework, at Hampton Court Palace and holds degrees also in dressmaking. She loves a challenge and is up for creating custom pieces and teaching people how to sew, so they can enjoy the art that she has loved for the past 20 years. 

Busy Pins and Needles then took off with making bespoke printed items over six years ago, which also picked up during the COVID-19 pandemic. This later led to the idea of a shop, and due to not being able to get much fabric locally, we decided to go for it.  

And so three years later...

Busy Pins and Needles is a family run craft business.

We have a large, busy and well lit store in the town, on Canon Street, we have a huge range of fabrics, wools, accessories, sewing products and haberdashery for sale.

We also specialise in handmade, bespoke and unique items for all sorts of occasions.

Many of our items are personalised, we just need to know what names and personalisation you require.
Everything is made to the highest standards. 
Between them, Chelle & her daughters, Kirsty, Charlotte and Zoë; as well as her daughter-in-law Sam produce exquisite sewn, printed, vinyled, and handmade products.

We use only high quality materials sourced from all over the world in our products and we pride ourselves on the quality of our workmanship and materials used.
